Episode 11: FOMO, the art of not comparing your life to everyone else’s, & other things I learnt in my 20s…

I’m back!

Launching this new series of the SheUncensored Podcast, I wanted to begin with this episode as I’ve finally hit the inevitable 3-0. But, before I get stuck into a new decade, I wanted to take some time to reflect on what I learnt throughout my Twenties. There was a lot to think about but had I been told some of these things ten years ago, I may not have been so hard on myself…

Well, maybe.

Anyway, I’m here to pass on the things that have helped me over the past ten years in hopes that they may be able to help you, too. We discuss on the idea of your twenties being the golden decade where you get everything done, living life a little more slowly, and how it’s absolutely, positively, ultimately acceptable if you do not have your shit together…Me, neither.

Episode 19: I Quit Social Media & This Is What Happened. She Uncensored

At the beginning of December, or thereabouts, I decided to quit social media for a while. I'm not a huge social media user anyway and I've never felt comfortable putting my personal life online for just anyone to see. Personally, it doesn't feel right for me to allow strangers insight into my life and to have a bigger audience than the people directly around me. Quitting social media basically meant deactivating my Instagram account as that was my main vice. (I said farewell to Facebook a few years ago, Twitter was something I never really understood the hype, Snapchat was a no, and TikTok I'll leave to Gen Z.) I just thought it would be a nice break from constantly picking up my phone and mindlessly scrolling for fifteen – twenty minutes. What I didn't expect was all the other benefits that came with it…Quite honestly, I'm shocked at how I feel now. So, in this week's episode, I discuss what I've discovered in the last few weeks, the changes I feel, and what my thoughts about social media are. This is all my opinion, by the way – you can disagree and you can argue. Right now, I'm more than happy to continue with this social media free way of life. What do you think of social media? Think I'm talking crap? Or maybe you've given up social media in 2021? Perhaps you're someone who can't live without it, or you've never had any social media accounts? Whatever your thoughts, let me know. Email me at sheuncensored@gmail.com or head to http://www.sheuncensored.com

Episode 10: Gender Expectations, Lockdown Learnings, Living with Intention, & What Happens Next…

A new weekend approaches, and a new episode is here! This week, we talk about gender expectations with the differences between masculinity and femininity. This links into what I have been learning in lockdown, including the discussion of minimalism and the core belief of living intentionally. (I’m also interrupted by my guinea pig and, if you listen closely, you’ll be able to hear my guinea pigs in the background having their own conversations…)

Soul Whispers

Learning to trust yourself is one of the greatest gifts to yourself.
Learning to forgive, to look after, to not judge, to honour, to delight in, to be gentle with, to challenge, to be fully present with yourself, and so on…
This is not selfish; it is vital.
