Episode 26: There’s No Such Thing As Wrong Decisions; Just Be Here Now.

For the longest time, I was haunted by the fear of making ‘wrong decisions’ in life. I was so scared that I would go off the ‘right path’ for me, and that I would fuck my life up. Living with regret was one of the things I tried so hard to avoid.

However, this fear caused me to play things safe all the time and not branch out to realise my full potential, or lean fully into my humanity. As I get older, I’m learning to adjust my ways of thinking and realise that there may not be such a thing as a wrong decision. All decisions we make in life shape our experiences and, as I was reminded earlier this week by the wonderful Danielle LaPorte, the circumstance you reflect on one day as a ‘wrong choice’ may be the thing you’re thankful for tomorrow for teaching you so much…

In this episode, I talk about letting go of my inner-teenager’s dream and how, in the end, I didn’t realise I would be so thankful that I did. I’m here, now, and I am so grateful. I’m starting to believe that life finds a way, things work out, as long as you commit to staying present with every step you take.
