When Change is Painful

Some changes look negative on the surface but you will soon realize that space is being created in your life for something new to emerge.

Eckhart Tolle

There have been so many changes over the past year for each and every one of us. Some of us are still moving through those changes.

With that “something new?” It may not even be something completely new – it may simply be a new way of prioritising your life, allowing more time to be dedicated to things that you love and really matter to you which have always been pushed to the sidelines. Now, they have the space to take up more residence in your life.

Whether its creative pursuits, family, friendships, relationships, or anything else…

Let it fall away if it wants to go. This desperate holding on with our fingernails is the pressure that can be released in letting go. Perhaps that is the space that needs to be made – the mental space within our minds as we have finally reached a decision and can stop obsessing, day and night, about something.

For the most part, when the old finally falls away, there is a slight pause between the new coming in. This is uncomfortable. However, in these moments, sit with the emptiness and the silence. In doing so, we ought to come to the conclusion that, no matter what happens, we are enough.

You are enough.
